.:. poetry by kfg moore
little bluesjots
I woke up this morning
With a poem on my breath
But morning breath being not of the sweetest
I toothbrushed it away.
I woke up this morning
Ablaze with poetry
So I took a cold shower
To put myself out.
The barmaid said:
I woke up this morning
With a funny head.
I looked at her King Charles helmet of hair
And thought: 'Nothing much has changed.'
I woke up this morning
Eyes shot through with red,
So I put on my shades
For morning shades hide a multitude of latenight sins.
